How to Point BigRock Domain to Dreamhost Hosting?

Though Dreamhost also offers domain names if you buy from them but if you have already purchased a domain from BigRock and want to host it on your Dreamhost account then you need to change Name Servers (NS) to point your BigRock Domain to Dreamhost Hosting Account.  Here are default Nameservers of Dreamhost:

• ns1.dreamhost.com
• ns2.dreamhost.com
• ns3.dreamhost.com

Follow the steps given below:

STEP 1. Login to your BigRock Account.

STEP 2. Now a page will open with a “List of Orders”. Here click on the domain name you want to point to your Dreamhost hosting account. (see screenshot below)

STEP 3. After clicking on the domain name, a management page will open. Click on the “Name Servers” on that page. (see screenshot below)

STEP 4. Now an iFrame form will pop up on the screen (see screenshot below). Fill the given Name Server values one by one (replace old ones).

• ns2.dreamhost.com
• ns3.dreamhost.com
  

STEP 5. Now click on “Update Name Servers” and you are done.

ur name server is properly propagated, you can go ahead and install WordPress and do other tasks on your Dreamhost account. CHEERS!
